Your media stays on your devices.

1. Scope

This policy applies to the Swipe Android app, the Swipe Bridge desktop companion, and this website. “Swipe,” “we,” and “us” refer to the independent developer of these services.

2. Photos and videos on your phone

Swipe requests access to the photos and videos you choose to make available through Android. That access is used locally to display media, create previews, remember review progress, mark favourites, stage cleanup choices, and delete items only after you confirm.

Swipe does not upload your photo or video library to a Swipe-operated server. Review state and app preferences are stored on your device and can be removed by clearing the app’s data or uninstalling the app.

3. Swipe Bridge and local-network media

Swipe Bridge lets you choose a folder or connected drive on your Mac or Windows computer. When you pair the app and computer, folder listings, metadata, thumbnails, and media you request travel directly between those devices over your local network. They are not routed through a Swipe cloud.

Pairing codes are temporary. Longer-lived pairing credentials and connection information are stored locally on the paired devices. Swipe Bridge stages cleanup choices and uses a recoverable Swipe Trash before a separate permanent-empty action.

4. Advertising and consent

Swipe is free and supported by Google AdMob. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share an IP address, approximate location derived from that address, app interactions, diagnostic information, and device or advertising identifiers. Google uses this information for advertising, analytics, security, and fraud prevention. This advertising data does not include the contents of your photos or videos.

Where required, Swipe uses Google’s consent management platform before requesting ads. Eligible users can revisit their choices through Settings → Ad Privacy Choices. Android also provides controls to reset or delete the advertising identifier.

5. Website information

This website does not include a Swipe account system, advertising SDK, or analytics tracker. Like most hosted websites, its hosting and network providers may process basic request information such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and timestamps to deliver and protect the service.

6. Permissions

• Photos and videos: display, review, organise, and delete media you choose to make available.
• Local network and internet: connect to Swipe Bridge, load ads, open support links, and access this policy.
• Advertising identifier: used by Google Mobile Ads where available and permitted by your choices and device settings.

7. Sharing and sale

Swipe does not sell your photo library or other media. Swipe does not share that media with advertisers. Advertising-related information is processed by Google and its authorised advertising partners as described above and in the consent message shown where required.

8. Retention and security

Swipe keeps local review progress, preferences, and pairing information only as needed to provide the features you use. You control phone media through the app and system photo settings, and computer media through Swipe Bridge. Network traffic is protected using the security measures provided by the app, operating system, hosting providers, and Google Mobile Ads SDK. No system can guarantee absolute security.

9. Your choices and rights

You can:

• change or revoke photo access in Android Settings;
• review or delete local media and app state;
• disconnect Swipe Bridge or remove its locally stored credentials;
• open Ad Privacy Choices when available for your region; and
• contact us about applicable access, deletion, objection, or privacy rights.

Because Swipe does not operate accounts or a cloud media library, we may not possess information that can identify you from a request. Google handles advertising-related choices and requests under its own privacy processes.

10. Children

Swipe is a general-audience utility and is not designed to collect personal information directly from children. Parents and guardians should supervise device permissions, media access, and advertising settings where appropriate.

11. Changes

We may update this policy when the app, its providers, or legal requirements change. The latest version will remain available at this URL with its updated date.
